21-Day Yoga Challenge – Update

The "21-day yoga challenge" program got off to a great start on April 5. A total of 15 participants signed up for the program. Since then one person has opted to discontinue. She has a two-month old baby. After trying for a couple of days she realized that it was too early after the delivery of the baby to come back for yoga. It is great that she has the desire to get back into shape quickly after childbirth. However, it is very encouraging to see that she listened to her own body and made the right decision to discontinue with the program. The rest of the group seems to be fully committed and have been coming regularly at 6:15 AM. For some of them getting up that early is indeed a big challenge; but as days go by, they all seem to be enjoying the experience. One person who had to miss the weekend due to prior family commitment has promised to continue the practice at home.

I have requested the participants to maintain a daily journal of their experience with the program. It would be great to get a write-up from everyone at the end of the program where they can present their individual experiences. I can put these up on the website for others to see and get inspired.

Please see the details of the programs in my earlier post.

Hi Subash I really enjoyed that 21 days and the breakfasts together and the Healthy meals. I’ve learned from you so many things about Yoga and all benefits. Even at 6:15 in the morning and all the changes in everyone schedule it brought lots of energy and released the tensions coming from the mind. My joints and tendons are strongers now and I lost some weight. I want to continue the practices and I’ll. My Daughter is going to University and because of all the talk about this experience she wants to take fitness at College and enroll herself in Yoga classes. Thank you very much, I hope I can influence all my family to start yoga as soon as possible to keep all aspects of life in balance.

I am a proud graduate of Suhash’s 21-day challenge. What an incredible experience it was to be with such a wonderful instructor and supportive class. My personality thrives on schedules, so this class was perfect for me. I was amazed at how well Subhash was able to balance the variety of skill levels in the class. He was not only able to make everyone feel comfortable, but also challenge everyone at their individual level. Subhash also sprinkled in yoga philosophy in the sessions which really helped me understand and appreciate the rich history and meaning of the art.

I think the most amazing part of the challenge is that I am still active in my own yoga and meditation. Almost every morning I wake up within 1 or 2 minutes of my alarm – I play a game now to guess how many minutes I am early. My wife has encouraged me by helping setup a spare room with space for me. My kids are into it now – there is a great book called “My Dad is a Pretzel” that they enjoy going through with me.

I wish everyone could experience the same sense of accomplishment and peace that I feel after everyone of the sessions. I look forward to continuing yoga training with Subhash. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

    Mr. Subash,
Thx for conducting the 21 day challenge. Had a great time participating in the 21 day challenge. What a Challenge it was and i really benefited by participating in the lock step 3 week program with wonderful team members. It help me get a better understanding of my body(strength/limitations) and also succesfully develop the discipline to wake up early every morning and do my 1 hour Yoga Practice. Would like to thank you for the great program and look forward to participating in future programs.

    thx,
    Bejoy

I have just completed Subhash Mittal’s 21-day yoga challenge program from April 5 to April 25. It was wonderful. For the first couple of days it was hard to wake up and attend the class that began at 6.15 AM, but then it became a habit. I began looking forward to it.

I highly recommend this to everyone, whoever can attend it. Subhash Ji is a great teacher. After each class I felt very flexible, relaxed, and full of energy. I used to feel upset about little things but now after taking this class it does not bother me any more. The 21 day yoga course has motivated me to more deeply learn and continue what I love, yoga, but now I do it early every morning which gives me more time and energy during the whole day. I highly appreciate the yoga classes by Subhash Ji the would gladly attend any future programs he organizes.
