The 10-day intensive on pranayama and meditation concluded successfully on Saturday, July 31. The program was very well received by all the 17 participants. It is truly heartening to see the commitment of the students who willingly sacrificed their early morning sleep in order to get to the class by 6 AM. Most participants echoed the same feeling that getting to the class by 6 AM was their biggest challenge as well as their most satisfying achievement for the course. After only two to three days, they began to feel more comfortable with the schedule. They thoroughly enjoyed the variety of breathing techniques as well as the meditation routines that were covered during the program. I sincerely hope that the participants will continue to practice on their own on a regular basis.
Based on the participant feedback and request from a few others, I plan to continue to offer similar programs in the future.
I am giving below excerpts from the feedback received from some of the students.
"I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I have not found a yoga studio in recent years that has focused on this aspect of yoga."
"It was very interesting to catch a glimpse of what yoga is about. Waking up that early allowed me to get a lot of stuff done in the morning. The breathing techniques are very refreshing and relaxing and I plan to spend some time each day to do said exercises. "
"Really enjoyed the program. Was powerful to learn and practice the techniques with a group. Your teaching techniques make it very easy to feel comfortable and relaxed."
"It was good to get back to something I like to do. Got exposure to few of the yoga concepts through the discussion in the class. I was very impressed with your in-depth knowledge on the subject and your continuing study groups. "
"Being with this group of folks was really very special under the supervision of Subhash. I was able to observe the changes in perception over the ten days and achieve a certain distance from my thoughts. I enjoyed the learning of paranayama techniques, the yoga nidra and the meditation all equally. This was an expansive experience, and I look forward to more workshops of this kind."
"I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of techniques we explored and all aspects of the classes. I rediscovered my love for the serenity of early morning. I came away from every session refreshed and invigorated, greeting my day with confidence and calm. I wouldn’t change a thing."

hello sir
i am 32 years old male. I read your site and i found it very interesting. Sir, i have a problem which i cannot put into words easily but i will try. I have been into regular smoking habbit since my childhood(when i was 16). Now from last 6-7 years i feel like there is severe dryness in my entire body from head to toe specially in head and stomach and i feel its in solid form which makes me hard to think, hard to work(yes i am jobless from last 6 years, i used to work in call center day n night shifts and things were going well), hard to excercise(before that i was regular into excercise), i dont feel like talking to people and thats y i dont have friends, i am not married and i dont have a girlfriend, i dont even have a friend to talk to.
Now the thing that i was talking about in solid cough form is like it comes out of my nose and mouth in white leechi type stuff, its been 3 -4 years that its happening but i feel like its never going to end, since that leechi kind of stuff has started coming out my condition has improved but i still feel like its never going to end, i feel there is so much of that stuff still inside me, i used to take marijuana and i did it for few years, now its been 3 years that ive not touched it. I feel physically, mentally and sexually week.
Another thing is when i try to go out, after 2-3 hours i starte feeling like immense stiffness in my stomach and head area (jaise ander hi ander kuch khinchaav sa ho raha ho) and i feel all dry dry from inside so after few hours i have to take rest.
Sir is there any way to cure this. I ve been to ENT speciallist, a homeopathy doctor and took medication for almost about a year but nothing happened. Ive been trying to do yoga also but i really dont know whether i do it correctly. I am just sitting in my room from last so many years waiting for this to end and i am really running out of patience now. Please and kindly suggest me what type of pranayam or other excercises to do and can i also join your sessions and if yes , are they free or do u charge and what are the charges. I hope u can understand my problem and will and can definitely help me. Waiting for your reply sir
kindly reply asap.
Regards
russell singh
Dear Russel,
I am sorry that you are having so much trouble because of your addiction. To build up a yoga practice of your own, you will need to study yoga from a yoga teacher. You can find my class schedule and pricing info on my website here – http://www.integralyogastudio.com/schedule.php. As I am not a doctor, it is hard for me to give you any recommendation of any specific type of yoga techniques that may help. I think in general the practice of pranayama and meditation should be helpful. On my website and my blog, you will find a fair amount of information about various techniques that you can try. Hope you will find it helpful. I wish you all the best.
