In view of the situation with the COVID-19 virus, and also strong guidelines from CDC and other local authorities, I have decided to suspend all yoga classes conducted “in person” at the studio until the situation begins to improve. This includes classes offered by me, Priya Amaresh, Soumya Raghav, Disha Gala and Jyoti Shah.
In the meantime, in order to maintain continuity of practice as per the current schedule, I will be offering the following weekly ongoing classes via live video streaming using the Webex platform:
- Monday, 6:30 – 8:00 PM
- Tuesday: 6:30 – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:15 AM – 12:00 noon
WebEx Meeting Info:
- Join online (live video streaming): click here
- Join by phone (audio only) +1-415-655-0003 US Toll; Meeting number (access code): 851 990 113
Please write to me if you plan to attend the class. That way I’ll know who all are attending and also a head-count for the class. This information is important for planning future online classes.
We are going through difficult times. With school closings, employees being asked to work from home, no access to theaters, social and cultural events, restaurants, bars etc., life can become quite stressful. As we all know, practice of yoga is known to provide us with a sense of well-being both at physical and mental levels even in trying circumstances. It can help us maintain a sense of equanimity and calm amidst all the turmoil going around us. As such, I am making these online classes available to everyone on my distribution list without the need for registration or payment until March 28. Treat it as a gift from me to help you get through this difficult period. I’ll send an update for classes after March 28.
Important guidelines
- Join the class a few minutes early so as to minimize disturbance to the class.
- Yoga is practiced on an empty stomach. Try to give a gap of at least three hours between your last meal and your yoga practice.
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes.
- Maintain your practice at a level that is comfortable for you – never going beyond your limits of flexibility and endurance.
- Keep you mike or phone on “mute”. Unmute yourself only if you have to ask a question.
Visit my blog or the youtube channel if you need specific instructions on any of the practices that we go through in the class.
I would love to hear from you about your experience with the online class.
I look forward to your enthusiastic participation.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Namaste,
Hope you are doing well.

Please let m know if I can attend these sessions.
Thank you
Sure, Apoorva, you are most welcome to join these classes. Now, i am offering these classes via zoom (not Webex). Please visit my blog for the updated information. You will need to factor in the 9.5 hour time difference between India and USA to see if the timings are convenient for you. You may also notice that I will be offering a 14-day intensive on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali which is in the morning, a time that is more convenient for participation from India. Let me know if you are interested.
