I am pleased to present an audio recording of the monthly workshop on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali held on Saturday, 01/19/19:

Brief summary of what we covered:

We began discussion of chapter 2. This chapter covers the concepts of Kriya Yoga, kleshas (afflictions), karma theory, insight into the Samkhya philosophy and the eight limbs of yoga. We covered the following sutras:

• Sutra 2.1 (Kriya yoga)
• Sutra 2.2 (purpose of Kriya yoga)
• Sutra 2.3 (five kleshas)
• Sutra 2.4 (Avidya)
